Dr. Matthew Casavant is the founding physician of South Lake OB/GYN, established in 2002. Raised in Oviedo, Florida, Dr. Casavant earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Micro and Molecular Biology from UCF and his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University. He completed his residency at St. Vincent’s/Mercy Hospital in Toledo, OH, where he specialized in advanced minimally invasive surgery.Dr. Casavant emphasizes a holistic approach to medicine that integrates preventative care and the latest medical advancements. He is a pioneer in robotic surgery and minimally invasive procedures, and is often referred to for complex cases. Dr. Casavant is committed to fostering strong patient-physician relationships through active listening and open communication. He is married to Nicole Casavant PA-C, and, together, they have three children.
