Keicia Shanta

Keicia Shanta is a fashion expert with over a decade of experience. She started her blog FashionCrush in 2012 with the plan of just talking about her hunt for trendy fashion finds that don’t break the bank. That blog quickly grew into much more with her first editorial fashion collaboration with southern retail chain Belk. Keicia soon went on to create fashion editorials for Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, and Hibbett Sports. Her tenacity to bring fashion more mainstream in the South lead her to work as Public Relations Director for Magic City Fashion Week in Birmingham, Alabama. Here, she worked closely with emerging fashion designers and highlighted their brands on a national stage. Keicia and the entire team at MCFW championed diversity and inclusion for all three runway seasons by featuring models and fashion designers from all colors of the spectrum. Working with these diverse creatives only heightened her interest to learn more about sustainability and how to implement its core message. She enrolled into the Fashion and Sustainability program offered by The London School of Fashion. Keicia has been featured on FOX and ABC highlighting up and coming fashion trends and has received print coverage in Sheen Magazine, Authority Magazine, The South China Morning Post, Thrive Global, and The Business of Business. She continues to give seasonal style/trend inspiration for lifestyle brands Fab Fit Fun, HighSnobiety, and Sewport.
