Clinical Psychologist
Vincenzo Sinisi is a psychoanalyst, group analyst, clinical psychologist, and the founding director of TherapyRoute, an international mental health service directory and resource platform. He has 14 years of experience and is an active member of the South African psychotherapeutic community and has held several executive positions, including Chairperson of the Cape Town Society for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, Secretary of the South African Psychoanalysis Initiative and Treasurer / Board Member of the Center for Group Analytic Studies.
Vincenzo began his career in mental health as an undergraduate student. He qualified as a group analyst from the Institute of Group Analysis, London, in 2014 and graduated from The South African Psychoanalytical Association in 2015. He enrolled in an honors program in applied psychology at the University of the Witwatersrand (along with a traumatology diploma) and then set out to pursue clinical psychology as a career. After completing his internship, Vincenzo joined a professional clinical psychology training program at the University of the Witwatersrand.
After qualifying as a clinical psychologist, Vincenzo chose to deepen his psychotherapy skills through additional training. He completed a Tavistock accredited diploma in working therapeutically with children, a group analysis training, and became the first-ever graduate of the South African Psychoanalytical Association (IPA recognized).
