The body shape calculator is a simple tool to know your body shape for deciding outfits that will flaunt it the most.

Women have different body shapes depending on the bone structure and fat deposition in their body parts. The bone structure remains unaltered throughout life, but fat accumulation is determined by factors like age, weight gain or weight loss, hormonal imbalances, pregnancy, and lifestyle (1), (2), (3).

How To Take Your Measurements?

To take an accurate measurement, just follow these 5 simple steps:

Step 1: Stand straight, take two normal breaths, and use a measuring tape to measure the circumference of the fullest part of your bust (wear a well-fitted bra). Do not hold the measuring tape too tight.

Step 2: Measure the circumference of your waist, just above the belly button.

Step 3: Measure the circumference of the high hip or the upper hip area, just below the belly.

Step 4: Measure the fullest part of your hips.

Step 5: Enter the measurements into the calculator and press “Calculate.”

How Does This Body Shape Calculator Work?

The body shape calculator works by taking in the measurements of your bust, waist, high hips, and hips. It then compares the measurements according to the guidelines given by the International Journal of Clothing Science and Technology (4).

What Is Zero Figure Body Shape?

The zero figure body shape is an extremely skinny body shape. Clothing brands label “Size 0” in clothes to mark the size and fit. Size 0 dresses vary from brand to brand. With changing times and more awareness about the side effects of the “Zero figure” obsession, clothing brands have changed their sizes. Aim for a happy body, where you feel good about yourself regardless of what brands and society consider beautiful.

Does your body shape change when you lose weight?

Yes, your body shape may change a little when you lose weight, but your structure will remain the same. For example, if you have a pear-shaped body and you lose weight, you will lose weight from your hips, thighs, belly, and chest. You will remain a “sweet pear” but look more toned.
